Write a LinkedIn summary that attracts recruiters. Learn the formula for a perfect "About" section with templates for students, experienced professionals, and career changers.
Your LinkedIn "About" section is the most undervalued real estate on the internet. It's the only place where you can tell your story in your own words, unlike the resume which is just a list of bullet points.
Recruiters spend about 10 seconds on your profile. A catchy summary makes them stop scrolling and click "Connect" or "Message."
This guide gives you the formula and templates to write a killer summary.
A great summary has four parts:
Focus: Ambition, learning, and projects.
(Hook) Computer Science undergrad | Full Stack Developer in the making | Building apps that solve real problems.
(Story) Call me a geek, but I love the logic behind code. My journey started when I built a simple website for my college fest, and I was hooked. Since then, I've dived deep into the MERN stack, building everything from a library management system to an expense tracker.
I believe technology is the best tool to simplify life. I'm constantly learning—currently exploring AWS and Cloud Computing.
